Boyce Music Studio was founded by Nina and Cody Boyce out of a simple belief: music lessons should feel personal, inspiring, and rooted in community.
After years of teaching in traditional settings, they saw a strong need for something different—a more boutique, home-style studio experience where students of all ages could receive individualized attention and truly feel seen and supported.
From Columbus to Cleveland
After 15 years living in Columbus Ohio, Nina and Cody moved back to Cleveland to be closer to family—returning to Cody’s hometown of Concord Township.
During that transition, Nina realized how much she missed the joy of teaching music after stepping away from the public school system as a middle school choir director for 7 years.
A lifelong musician and professional podcast producer, Cody has spent years working in audio and media before returning to his roots as a teacher. Now, he’s sharing his passion for music and performance with young musicians in his hometown—bringing real-world experience back into the lesson room.
What started as a small side project has quickly transformed in a growing music education community and hub for local connection through music.

Where It All started
When Nina first launched the studio, she traveled door-to-door, teaching lessons in homes throughout Concord Township and the surrounding Lake and Geauga County areas.
What began as a small operation has grown steadily, something we’re deeply grateful for, thanks to the families in our community who have supported our vision for music education!
Growing a Community of Musicians
Today, Boyce Music Studio serves over 60+ students and continues to expand with five dedicated instructors offering lessons in voice, piano, drums, and guitar.
In addition to private lessons, the studio proudly launched the Lake Youth Chorus, the first community youth choir of its kind on the east side of Cleveland.
We also introduced Mini Musicians, a fun and engaging class designed to help young children explore rhythm, melody, and creativity through play-based learning.
We look forward to expanding our programs and continuing to make music together for years to come!
