Boyce Music Studio was founded by Nina and Cody Boyce out of a simple belief: music lessons should feel personal, inspiring, and rooted in community.
After years of teaching in traditional settings, they saw a strong need for something different—a more boutique, home-style studio experience where students of all ages could receive individualized attention and truly feel seen and supported.
From Columbus to Concord Township
After 15 years living in Columbus Ohio, Nina and Cody moved back to Cleveland to be closer to family—returning to Cody’s hometown of Concord Township.
During that transition, Nina realized how much she missed the joy of teaching music after stepping away from the public school system as a middle school choir director for 7 years.
Cody—who once spent countless hours practicing guitar with his friends in his parents’ home —has come full circle! Now, he’s teaching other young musicians those same performance skills. Sharing his lifelong love of music right here in his hometown where it all began.
What started as a small side project has quickly transformed in a growing music education community and hub for local connection through music.

Where It All started
When Nina first launched the studio, she traveled door-to-door, teaching lessons in homes throughout Concord Township and the surrounding Lake and Geauga County communities. What began as a small operation has grown steadily—proof that families in our area are eager for a higher-quality, more personal approach to music education.
Growing a Community of Musicians
Today, Boyce Music Studio serves over 60+ students and continues to expand with five dedicated instructors offering lessons in voice, piano, drums, and guitar. In addition to private lessons, the studio proudly launched the Lake Youth Choir—the first community youth choir of its kind on the east side of Cleveland—filling a long-standing gap in local arts opportunities.
We also introduced Mini Musicians, a fun and engaging class designed to help young children explore rhythm, melody, and creativity through play-based learning.
